Event Details

In March, we will discuss No Place Like Home: Lessons in Activism from LGBT Kansas by C. J. Janovy. Books are available to borrow one month prior to the book discussion. Pick up your copy when you attend the February discussion, or stop by the 2nd floor Reference Desk to check one out. Poet Dennis Etzel, Jr., from Washburn University will lead the discussion. This program is part of our 2024 series Talk About Literature in Kansas (TALK). TALK book discussions bring communities together for engaging conversations over good books. This semester we will look at “The Kansas Experience” by reading and discussing 3 books by Kansans, and we will end with a film discussion in April. We will have drawings for free books at each event. Sponsored by a grant from Humanities Kansas and the Manhattan Library Association Friends Group.
