As we explore the topic of abnormal psychology in fiction this summer, Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s 19th Century novella The Yellow Wallpaper provides ample content for discussion. Written as journal entries by a woman who has decreasing mental abilities, the narration is fascination and shocking, and brings up questions about the treatment of women and mental health then and now.
Book Pick-Up Begins: May 12th.
Register in advance and pick up a copy of the book from the Reference desk. Discussions are led by MPL librarians. These programs are funded by our MLA friends of the library
