This storytime is active and fun for young children. Caregivers participate with their children as we sing songs, do action rhymes, listen to stories, and have music time. The target age for this storytime is children 18 months old and up.

Create Your World. Bring your ideas and we will provide everything else: clay, markers, paint, canvases, etc.. The only limit is your creativity! Teen events are for 6th-12th graders, including those going into 6th grade in the fall.

Art is for everyone! Let’s get together and discover fun ways to create art for all. Feel free to bring the whole family, grandparents welcome, and single folks, too. We will have supplies and some samples of various artistic styles and formats.

Let’s make a work of art together! Kids can decorate paper squares that spell out the summer reading theme, “Color Our World.” We’ll combine everyone’s squares to create a piece of art that we’ll hang up in the library’s children’s room! 

Join us for informal evenings of chess. Volunteers will be available to help players of all levels learn chess basics and try different strategies. Chess Night is more social than competitive, so plan to have fun and make new friends.

Welcome, adventurers! This is a club for those who enjoy tabletop roleplaying games like Dungeons and Dragons, Monster of the Week and Kids on Bikes.

Enjoy a donut while we discuss books with dangerous storylines. Hang out with other book lovers in this nontraditional book club. We will focus on the genres of true crime, murders and mysteries.

Relax with a board game of your choosing on Game Day at the library. Every Friday, board games and card games, along with instructions for play, will be available for checkout at our reference desk on the 2nd floor.

The zoo and the library team up to present a fun storytime for ages 3 and up with books on the big screen, active songs, and lots of animal sounds and poses. Zoofari Tails Storytimes also include animal artifacts to look at or touch. 

Let's build together! K-5th graders will build a new structure each week using the library's Legos and their imagination. Fridays, June 6 - July 11 (not on July 4th).

Saturday storytimes combine the best elements of all our storytimes to suit a wide range of ages so that the whole family can attend together. We will read stories, sing songs, learn rhymes and dance to music with shakers.

Meet a friendly therapy dog and stay "PAWSitive" about reading! Kids can read a short book to a certified therapy dog brought in by one of our volunteer dog handlers.

Finish out your Summer by adding some of your artistic flare to our Poster Coloring Passive Program.

Let’s gather ‘round the campfire! Join us for an afternoon of storytelling, s’mores and just good old fashioned fun. S’mores ingredients will be provided, we will talk about what makes a good story and create some of our own!
