Program Description

Event Details

This is a special storytime for Child Abuse Awareness Month in which we will read two fun stories that encourage positive concepts about kids consenting to physical touch (Don’t Hug Doug) and teaching kids to believe in their value and good qualities (Quick as a Cricket). We’ll do some action rhymes as well to move around and get wiggles out, and end with music and dancing with maracas and bells. Staff from Stepping Stones Child Advocacy Center will be available to talk with families, and we may have a special guest from RCPD as well. Caregivers participate with their children. Kids and grown-ups are welcome to come dressed in their pajamas.
