This storytime is active and fun for young children. Caregivers participate with their children as we sing songs, do action rhymes, listen to stories and have music time. The target age for this storytime is children 18 months old and up.

Librarians will present an active storytime for children ages 3 and up, with books on the big screen, action rhymes, parachute time and music. Storytime is great for helping children develop early literacy skills.

If it’s adventure you seek, kids entering 3rd-6th grades should join us for a special themed program each week!
July 10th - Olympic Adventures

Join us for informal evenings of chess. Volunteers will be available to help players of all levels learn chess basics and try different strategies. Chess Night is more social than competitive, so plan to have fun and make new friends.

Caregivers sit with their little ones to sing, clap and play along with rhymes, read a short book together, and have shaker music time. Learn a new word in baby sign language each week.

Let's build together! K-2nd graders will build a new structure each week using the library's Legos. Socialize with other kids and use your imagination! Children may attend independently.

Saturday storytimes combine the best elements of all our storytimes to suit a wide range of ages so that the whole family can attend together. We will read stories, sing songs, learn rhymes and dance to music with shakers.

Description: The library will show a free screening of The Princess Bride. This beloved comedy adventure from 1987 will be interactive with audience participation and some fun props. Feel free to come dressed as a favorite character.

Take an adventure through history, featuring cowboy and American bison artifacts. Handle tools of the cowboy trade like chaps, ropes, and branding irons.

Kids love to make stuff, and now they have all the supplies they need to create something great - paper, glue, scissors, and craft odds and ends! Kids can use their imaginations to make whatever they want.

July's theme: African safari! The zoo and the library team up to present a fun storytime for ages 3 and up with books on the big screen, active songs, and lots of animal sounds and poses. Learn about an animal that lives at Sunset Zoo.

Milford Nature Center will present an introduction into how fun camping can be. The program will include "Leave No Trace" principles, along with meeting a few native Kansas animals you may find while exploring the great outdoors!

Ms. Katherine’s Music and More program provides opportunities for children (birth to 5-years) and their parents/caregivers to engage in a dynamic music/movement class and experience the joy of music with all of it’s benefits.
