November's theme: turkeys and birds! The zoo and the library team up to present a fun storytime for ages 3 and up with books on the big screen, active songs, and lots of animal sounds and poses.

This storytime is active and fun for young children. Caregivers participate with their children as we sing songs, do action rhymes, listen to stories and have music time. The target age for this storytime is children 18 months old and up.

Let's build together! K-6th graders will build a new structure each week using the library's Legos and their imagination. Lego Club meets on the 1st & 3rd Fridays, Sept. 6 - Dec. 6.

Teens can present poetry, spoken word, or songs of their creation or published by others! Limit 5 minutes per person; lyrics must be age-appropriate (think PG). Sign up for a spot when you arrive, or come to listen and watch others.

Join us for a Bilingual Spanish Storytime on Saturdays at 11:00, Oct. 26 - Nov. 23. This storytime is suggested for ages 3-8. We will tell great tales and look at some beautiful illustrations, focusing on books by Latinx authors and illustrators.

All picture book lovers are invited to the inaugural Mock Pura Belpré on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 12-1:30 pm at the Manhattan Public Library. Attend in person or virtually via Zoom.

The Mock Caldecott event gives local readers a chance to vote on their favorite illustrated picture book of the year. The actual Caldecott Award is given by the American Library Association every January.

Come and socialize with fellow knitting and crocheting enthusiasts! All levels of experience welcome. Work on your yarn and textile projects and craft with others.This program is intended for adults and teens.

Caregivers sit with their little ones to sing, clap and play along with rhymes, read a short book together, and have shaker music time. Learn a new word in baby sign language each week.
