Join Manhattan Public Library’s Winter Reading Challenge to light up your mind this season.

December's theme: rabbits! The zoo and the library team up to present a fun storytime for ages 3 and up with books on the big screen, active songs, and lots of animal sounds and poses.

Stretch, breathe and read! Librarian and certified yoga instructor Hannah will present yoga picture books, activities, and music incorporating simple yoga poses. Participants may bring yoga mats or use one supplied by the library.

Try our StoryWalk® Indoors featuring There Was a Cold Lady Who Swallowed Some Snow! by Lucille Colandro. Start at the children's staff desk and look for the numbered signs around the Children's Room.

Come and socialize with fellow knitting and crocheting enthusiasts! All levels of experience welcome. Work on your yarn and textile projects and craft with others.This program is intended for adults and teens.

Bring your little one to the library for some social interaction and fun. Toddler toys will be in the Storytime Room during this informal program where caregivers can also chat and get to know each other. Suggested for ages 0-2 with caregivers.

New to technology? Have a question about your phone or device? Wandean Rivers will be on site to help older adults with questions about their computers, tablets and phones. Start your digital adventure!

Enjoy Varsity donuts while hanging out with other book enthusiasts! Discuss any book within the popular genres of true crime, mystery, murder or suspense, and share your thoughts with us. Free book drawing at each session.

Let's build together! K-6th graders will build a new structure each week using the library's Legos and their imagination. Lego Club meets on the 1st & 3rd Fridays, Sept. 6 - Dec. 20. This is our last Lego Club of 2024.
