The StoryWalk® Downtown is a self-directed walk available May-July. The walk starts at Manhattan Public Library's north windows along 629 Poyntz Avenue.

Join Manhattan Public Library’s Summer Reading Challenge and add some color to your world! Record your reading time and complete some fun activities to earn online badges and prizes, from May 31, 2025 - July 31, 2025.

This storytime is active and fun for young children. Caregivers participate with their children as we sing songs, do action rhymes, listen to stories, and have music time. The target age for this storytime is children 18 months old and up.

Caregivers sit with their little ones to sing, clap and play along with rhymes, read a short book together, and have shaker music time. Learn a new word in baby sign language each week.

Spark your creativity with stop motion. Teens will create their own stop motion using whatever medium they prefer; clay, Legos, pen and paper, the possibilities are limitless!

Join us for crafts and activities featuring The Wild Robot, inspired by the book series by Peter Brown! You're invited to stay afterwards to watch the movie based on the book from 3:15-5:00.

Join us for a movie showing after the kids' summer event this afternoon. We will show the magical and inspiring animated movie about an intelligent robot called Roz who is stranded on an uninhabited island.

Join us for the second installment of Art Unplugged!—a lively bi-monthly series spotlighting the voices, stories, and work of local artists.

Librarians will present an active storytime for children ages 3 and up, with books on the big screen, action rhymes, parachute time, and music. Storytime is great for helping children develop early literacy skills.
