Poetry & Stars

Join us for a special evening program as we hear and discuss poetry under the stars at the Flint Hills Discovery Center's outdoor classroom. Kansas Poet Laureate Dr. Traci Brimhall will discuss the poetry of the Humanities Kansas chapbook, Written in the Stars. We also encourage attendees to bring in a poem of your own creation to share with the group. As the sun sets, there will be opportunity to look at stars through a telescope. Hot drinks and refreshments provided. There is no charge to attend. Registration is encouraged but not required. Free copies of Written in the Stars will be given to participants. 

The location for this event is Flint Hills Discover Center at 315 South 3rd Street. The outdoor classroom is on ground level to the right of the building entrance.
