Program Description

Event Details

The Mock Caldecott event gives local readers a chance to vote on their favorite illustrated picture book of the year. The actual Caldecott Award is given by the American Library Association every January. If you would like to participate in our Mock Caldecott, view video readings of the selected picture books between Nov. 29 and Dec. 2, and vote on your favorites. Then, on Saturday December 3, 2:00-3:00pm, we’ll gather to discuss together a short list of titles and vote in real time to select our 2022 Mock Caldecott winner and honor books.
