Event Details

Milford Nature Center will present live animals and various animal artifacts that will introduce audiences to some native prairie wildlife and their favorite habitat. The program will showcase animals that were in Kansas before settlement, bison and other grazers that coexisted with bison in the prairie, and predators that are no longer in Kansas. They will also touch on some of the common prairie animals of today. This program is geared toward an adult crowd. Suggested for adults, teens, and kids ages 8 and up. Tim Keane a Manhattan local, and a three-time champion in the Kansas Cowboy Poetry Contest. Dr. Keane has won multiple events at the National Cowboy Poetry Rodeo, where he was overall reserve champion in 2016 and 2018 will be sharing some of his work with us.
