"Art Unplugged" in August will be a panel discussion with leaders from some of Manhattan's key visual art institutions. Together, we'll explore how to grow, connect, and energize the local art scene.

Panelists:

  • Kendra Kuhlman, Director, Manhattan Arts Center
  • Kent Michael Smith, Director, Beach Museum of Art
  • Erin Dragotto, Executive Director, Museum of Art + Light
  • Shree Joglekar, Head, Department of Art, Kansas State University
  • Gina Snyder, Executive Director, Downtown Manhattan

Topics that will be discussed include:

  • How to expand public engagement with art
  • Opportunities for artist support and exhibition
  • Collaborative partnerships across institutions
  • The role of art in downtown development and tourism

In October, we will return to our regular format of inviting two regional artists to discuss their work, influences, and artistic journeys. This bi-monthly series is perfect for art lovers, aspiring artists, and anyone interested in the stories that shape the art world.
