Summer Reading Kick-Off

It's the Summer Reading Kick-Off Party! Get registered for the annual Summer Reading Challenge to earn prizes for reading this summer. Join us this morning for extra fun activities like a magic show, community art project, games, crafts, and free snowcones. Funded by the Manhattan Library Association, the library’s Friends group!

“Color Your World with Magic” with Dan Dan the Magic Man, 10:00 and 11:00 showings. 

Dan Heath will feature colorful magic and funny stories from the pages of books the kids adore.  The performance includes lots of audience participation, thrilling surprises, and a real live bunny.   The show is suitable for all ages.

Scarecrow Snowcones will be in the library parking lot 10:00-12:00 providing snowcones. Each person who signs up for Summer Reading can get a ticket for 1 free snowcone. If you pre-registered in May, stop by to pick up your sign-up prize and a snow cone ticket between 10 and noon.
