Purpose of Meeting

Register your family for Junior League's Adopt A Family holiday program. Adopt A Family provides gifts to families who have no means of providing any gifts themselves. Junior League of the Flint Hills coordinates this program with 100% volunteer effort and through the generosity of donors. Families must be eligible for this program before registering. In order to qualify for the Adopt A Family program, the family shall reside in Manhattan or Ogden, and be eligible through verification processes listed below.

You MUST bring ALL of the following documents to family sign ups to be qualified for the program.

  1. Proof of Address: Current utility bill or lease & current rent receipt.
  2. Proof of Family Composition: 2022 Income Taxes or current DCF Cap1 Cap2 AND Food Stamp Benefit History, or proof of family composition on letterhead from USD 383 Social Worker.
  3. Proof of Income for the Family: Current last 30 days pay stubs for EVERYONE IN THE HOUSEHOLD and/or SRS Cap1 Cap2 AND Cash Benefit History, Financial Aid Statement, proof of Child support, verification of unemployment benefits, VA benefits, workman’s comp, family support, TANF, etc.

MANHATTAN FAMILIES:

Manhattan will have an in-person sign up available at the Manhattan Public Library (629 Poyntz Ave).

  • Sunday, October 29, 2-5 PM
  • Wednesday, November 1, 4-7 PM

OGDEN FAMILIES:

Ogden will have an in-person sign up available at Ogden Friendship House of Hope (226 Riley Ave).
