Join our Family Dinner Book Club to complete on your own time as a family. It's super easy to join. Register once below with a parent's name, and put in the total number of people who will participate in your family, parents included. Come to the library to get your packet, or print it out from the "Attachments" section here.

What do we do? Read a book aloud as a family - one person can read, or you can take turns. In June, we will focus on Nigerian authors. Then you can make a Nigerian or African recipe. A booklist and some recipes are included in the printout. If you are able to come by the library, we will supply an ingredient for a recipe (while supplies last). This month, the ingredient is a hibiscus tea bag

Remember to log your reading together time for the summer reading challenge as well.

We welcome anyone in our reader community to participate! Adults without kids or with older teens who would like to participate can choose to read any book by a Nigerian author, and stop by the Children’s Desk to pick up your food ingredient (while supplies last). These articles include some adult and teen book choices to get started, many of which we have here at MPL: https://offtheshelf.com/2020/10/books-with-nigerian-authors/https://www.theuncorkedlibrarian.com/books-about-nigeria/.
