Join us for a presentation and discussion of the 1958 Dockum Drugstore Sit-In that happened in Wichita, KS, presented by author Prisca Barnes. Learn how Wichita’s Black students organized and staged a sit-in at the Dockum Drugstore to protest segregation. Barnes will describe what transpired, how it ended, and the lasting impact it had on race relations in the city and the struggle for racial equity in America. Sponsored by Humanities Kansas.
